Legend has it, that Huguenots fleeing religious persecution arrived in the Cape of Good Hope, and brought with them grape vines and a pink Damask rose, now known as the Huguenot Rose. This handmade cross, with a rose in the center, has a lot more relief, or depth, than flat crosses. 1 1/2" tall from the top of the bail to the tip of the dove by 5/8" wide. Handmade in the US in Sterling Silver by Huguenot Descendants. Chain not included.
NEW! During times of persecution, Huguenots often wore their cross with a pearl instead of a dove, to symbolize a tear. This option is now available in all versions of the Huguenot Rose Cross.
