Dear Potential Buyer,
I bought a sterling cross for when I wear sterling or white gold. I already have a yellow gold cross that my late mother gave me, so it seemed like a bit of an extravagance....how many Huguenot crosses does one need, after all! Especially “one” who is elderly and rarely goes out. I bought it anyway just to indulge my old woman self and I could not have been happier when it arrived. I have seen lots of pretty gifts and treasures in my many years but the beauty and craftsmanship of Mr. Norton’s jewelry is unrivaled. It just makes me feel good to wear it, and when friends do drop by, they invariably comment on it loveliness.
Now being also a tad clumsy (the old shaky hands thing) I broke the dove off one day. I contacted Mr. Norton and sent the dove and cross, now in two parts, to him for repair. He quickly returned my cross, as pretty as ever, *and* with a new bale rather than the original simple jump-ring.
I am now awaiting my next purchase: a ring. I realize that these stunning pieces are not extravagances at all, but are investments in heirlooms that I will pass down to my daughter and grandchildren. Yes, they are of that quality!
